Our Top Sites for Design Inspiration
Design Inspiration: In honor of Canadian Thanksgiving, we're highlighting two Canadian sites this week. This is the most attention Canada has ever received.
Every week at Fueled, our London-based lead designer Rob Palmer shares a handful of inspirational websites with our teams in New York and Chicago. This weekly email acts like a virtual water cooler, encouraging us to congregate across time zones and discuss what brands and blogs are doing to push new trends in web design.
In honor of Canadian Thanksgiving, we're highlighting two Canadian sites this week. This is the most attention Canada has ever received.
Sound City Project
The Sound City Project is an immersive audiovisual experience that documents the sights and sounds of cities across the world. For this particular project, the team is in New York, capturing the real life sounds of various locations in the Big Apple. Everyday noise becomes almost melodic when paired with beautiful 360 degree photos. You can even see what it sounds like right outside the Fueled office on Broadway.
Milk Every Moment
Did you know that Canadians eat more than just poutine, maple syrup, and bacon? Milk Every Moment is a site designed to promote the consumption of dairy, created by the proud dairy farmers of Canada. Although the milk and cheese filled recipes aren't terribly enticing, we really like this well designed site. The scrolling features and transitions are on point and we admire the slick multimedia integration.
Guillaume Bouvet
Guillaume Bouvet is a French craftsman and designer based in Brignais, eastern France. There are so many clever design features tucked into his personal website. Send some time here admiring not only Guillaume's incredible woodwork, but also exploring the interactive scrolling and navigation elements.
Adidas Predator
Adidas invites users to explore their new 2014 boots "through the eyes of the world’s most dangerous predators." There isn't much to this site besides great video animation but the predator sounds are a nice touch.
Pablo the Flamingo
Your sister's birthday is coming up and you know what she'd love? A flamingo. Don't believe us? Just check out Pablo the dancing flamingo. If you think about it, Pablo and your sister have a lot in common: they both love old school R&B and they hate for the party to stop. Just try to turn Pablo's music off...
