    Porsche Porsche

    The Brief

When you think Porsche you think fast, stylish, infallible under the hood. Unfortunately, their iphone app wasn't quite measuring up. Porsche had an app that allowed Porsche owners to network. The code for their social sharing app was stalling in iOS 4 and was nowhere near iOS 5 ready. Porsche brought their app to Fueled, looking for a major tune up.

    Our Solution

Fueled developers took Porsche's existing code, debugged it, made it fully compatible with iOS4 and brought it up to date for iOS5. The resulting app is sleek, shiny, functional and fresh as a brand new Porsche!

    Humin Humin

    The Brief

Humin came to Fueled with their ideas already organized. The goal was to create an iPhone app that allows people to share their personal and professional networks with friends and highlight the strongest social links a person can use to meet someone new. Humin came to Fueled with functionality and wireframes already prepared and they only needed us to design and develop the iPhone app they had planned.

    Our Solution

The strategists at Fueled quickly realized that some reworking of the functionality and wireframes were needed to optimize the iPhone application development for the mobile platform. Fueled provided in depth strategy sessions that helped Humin pivot their startup and focus on what would lead to success. The app's intelligent system provides a user with the strongest path to getting an introduction to a person they want to meet while its robust and sleek interface provided the usability that makes the entire process seamless.

    Vowch Vowch

    The Brief

The team from Vowch needed someone to build out their idea of a mobile application designed to help people find products and services that their friends recommend. They knew that the only reliable way to discern something's awesomeness is to see how many of your friends have used it in the past and "vowch" for it (see what we did there?).

    Our Solution

The stunning iPhone app we designed and developed for the Vowch team was a total home run. The amount of functionality we managed to pack into a little iPhone app design even surprised us. Vowch not only allows for people to recommend products and services, but it's sleek interface makes connecting with friends, commenting, "revouching" (Vowch's version of a retweet) easy and fun. Not surprisingly, the app currently holds a perfect 5 star rating in the Apple App Store.

    Kapture Kapture

    The Brief

Kapture is a startup who's plan was to create a social iPhone app that allows retailers and store owners to reward customers for tagging and sharing pictures of their products. When they came to Fueled they only wanted us to design out the look of their app.

    Our Solution

Fueled did just that, in fact our mobile application designers knocked it out of the park. Kapture was so pleased with the work that Fueled did, they came back to us for everything else. The Fueled team would ultimately do Kapture's mobile app development, its UX design, and their website design and development. Kapture and Fueled got so close that they even moved into the Fueled Collective, an amazing coworking space in NYC that we manage.

    Ideeli Ideeli

    The Brief

The team at the popular flash sale site Ideeli came to Fueled with a problem, people didn't like their iPhone app. A lot. Despite high ambitions, the old Ideeli app was slow, difficult to navigate and would crash at pretty much every stage of the user experience. The situation was so bad that nearly 90% of their iTunes reviews were "1 Star" (we assume thats only because a "0 Star" is not an option). When they came to us, they asked for one thing: play it safe and give them something stable that works.

    Our Solution

We followed instructions and played it safe, but just because we were safe doesn't mean we couldn't be awesome. Fueled's strategists worked with the Ideeli team to present a myriad of simple, yet highly effective mobile UI design suggestions such as implementing an "overscroll." Our iPhone app designers made the pictures larger, the navigation more simple and yes, the app didn't crash. Their more recent reviews have certainly gotten kinder. The executives at Ideeli were finally relieved of the mobile app cloud that had been hanging over their heads.

    The Brief

    Our Solution

    ShopSuey ShopSuey

    The Brief

The team who founded the startup ShopSuey came to Fueled to have us help them design and develop their dream iPhone application. ShopSuey was planned as an app that helps users find deals while shopping at physical locations like malls and shopping centers. When Fueled sat down with them to go over what features they wanted, we found our right away that ShopSuey wanted everything but the kitchen sink. Actually that isn't true, they wanted the sink too.

    Our Solution

The mobile app experts at Fueled saw through the thicket of bells and whistles. They helped the ShopSuey team narrow down their focus to only the features that would add to the user experience and make the iPhone app a success. The Fueled team understood that building an app isn't about loading it with every feature you can imagine, but instead doing a few very important things very well. We designed and developed a mobile iPhone application that is beautiful, sleek and still powerful.

    P&G P&G

    The Brief

Curious about the size of your carbon footprint? You wouldn't be the only one. Proctor and Gamble jumped on the growing green trend by launching its Future Friendly marketing initiative in 2009. As part of this new initiative, P&G decided to release an app that would help users calculate how day to day decisions impact their own worlds.

    Our Solution

Our team came in on the ground floor to do strategy, design and development for this project. The app generates a user "world" based his or her answers to questions about the user's day to day environmental impact (i.e. "What is the gas mileage of the car you drive in most often?" ). The quality of your mini ecosystem depends on how you answer new questions that the app poses daily. The app also supplies daily tips to help you make more responsible decisions. Social media integration lets you to share your acquired knowledge on Facebook, allowing you to spread the good word around!

    Hallmark Hallmark

    The Brief

With so much of the old-world print industry slowly turning to digital, even big-name brands like Hallmark had to begin developing new ways to engage their customers--and what better time than a holiday to connect with your customer base? Hallmark hired Fueled to help them build an awesome app for iPad and iPhone that would help users manage their holiday greetings and gift lists.

    Our Solution

Fueled developed a totally functional application for Hallmark that does more than just look pretty (though it does that too). The app allows users to upload any photo and turn it into a sweet greeting card, tailored to the holiday of your choice. We also made sure the app was equipped with a full year-round Holiday calendar, gift-giving organizational tools, and social sharing capabilities. Everything is better when it's "Holidized", after all.

    Malibu Malibu

    The Brief

Malibu approached us looking to develop an iPad app for their premium elixir, Malibu Black. Having partaken of the potion ourselves, we were well aware of the kinds of tomfoolery it can inspire, and in turn wanted the app to put users in touch with their level of inner deviousness. We accomplished this by having users complete a very brief survey in which they answer questions that betray their true nature, e.g. "Have you ever kissed two girls in one night?"

    Our Solution

A simple, straight forward interface that guides users through a five-question survey that "Reveals your Dark Side" on a 100 point scale. Answering "Yes" or "No" earns the user a different number of points according to the question at hand, with the idea that the higher the user's score, the more devious they must be. Upon completing the survey you shake the iPad to crack open a black coconut, laying bare your score and some encouraging advice to help you achieve perfect marks. We also included a secret admin panel with additional functionality for Malibu reps.

    Bulova Bulova

    The Brief

Bulova is a premium brand that was looking for a premium app to showcase the best of their beautiful watches. Much like us at Fueled, quality is what makes these guys tick (pun intended), which is why we partnered up to build them a functional digital timepiece that would blow the iPhone's native Clock app out of the water.

    Our Solution

Our team designed a stunning app that captures the intricacy and artistry behind each of Bulova's unique watches. Our developers took the designs and built an app that works as a functioning timepiece, a world clock, and an alarm clock all in one. Bulova app users everywhere are now waking up in style.

    JackThreads JackThreads

    The Brief

JackThreads, Thrillist's flash sale site for men, needed a robust mobile app developed for users who wanted to shop on the go. They wanted to use their existing back-end fulfillment system and maintain their design aesthetic. They came to Fueled asking for us to design and develop a mobile application that would look like their non-mobile optimized site with a completely new mobile UX/UI for the various mobile platforms.

    Our Solution

Fueled designed and developed both a iPhone app and an Android app using JackThread's existing back-end system. We created incredible custom animations for the application and built their mobile UI to be optimized for iPhone and Android screen sizes while staying true to the JackThreads brand. The mobile app was a immediate smash hit, went on to get 65,000 App Store downloads and doubled the amount of mobile revenue for JackThreads in its first week. We're usually pretty humble, but we think we outdid ourselves on this one.

    Chicago Bulls Chicago Bulls

    The Brief

Like every team in the NBA looking to land LeBron James as a free agent, the Chicago Bulls wanted to differentiate themselves from the crowd. Naturally, Fueled was quick to get involved with the project, which was developed to show King James what life would be like as a Bulls player in Chi Town.

    Our Solution

To give James and his fans a taste of that life, Fueled developed a feature-rich application depicting a utopian future Chicago in which LeBron is a member of the Bulls. Utilizing a diverse range of capabilities (video and custom animation, just to begin) Fueled built an unmatched product to win over the most sought-after free agent in NBA history.

    ShopStar ShopStar

    The Brief

Create a nationwide rewards program for malls owned by the nation's leading retail property developer. Tie in mobile (iPhone), a website, Facebook and power the whole thing with a heavily customized WordPress CMS.

    Our Solution

A robust, custom API to tie the Facebook and iPhone apps to the CMS. We integrated special forms to handle contest and a variety of different retail requirements, including emailing offers & flash contests. Push notifications alert users to new deals from their favorite retailers. Almost every aspect of the app can be edited and modified from the CMS and have all updates pushed out to all three platforms at once. This also avoids the need to submit app updates to the App Store for most content updates.

    MLB MLB

    The Brief

If you're a real baseball fan you will inevitably find yourself gossiping about new players and team acquisitions. MLB made an app that lets you track your favorite players and read news from your teams as it breaks. It was a really great idea that was bound to catch on with baseball fan boys, but the original iteration didn't quite measure up to the creator's vision. The creators sought an app design company that could turn straw into gold, and in Fueled they found it.

    Our Solution

The Fueled creative team completely redesigned the mobile application to drastically improve UI/UX and general readability. Our developers re-engineered the app from the ground up to make it sleeker and more functional, and added a useful push notification feature. Thanks to this great play by Fueled team, we were able to bring MLB Trade Rumors in for the home run!
