You’re embarking on that road trip you’ve been raving about with your friends or maybe you’re exploring the best parts of a foreign city when your body reminds you: you need to go. Specifically, you need to go find a free public bathroom before your bladder loses its patience and retaliates.

It’s a dangerous game that you simply don’t want to risk playing, but sometimes, the experience is inevitable—and more frequent than you realize. If you are someone who’s looking for an advantage during these inconvenient life circumstances, download Flush, our newest App of the Week.

JRuston, the creator of a handful of helpful products including My Pollen Forecast, My Tide Times, and My Earthquake Alert among others, added Flush to the repertoire of must-have apps back in 2015. More or less a crowdsourced toilet-finding app, Flush displays nearby bathrooms available to the public.

All you have to do is turn on your device’s location settings, open the app, and watch as an array of free bathroom locations appears before your eyes. From there, you can navigate to whichever restaurant, cafe, or public space your heart desires. As you go down your list, you can view icons that display whether your bathroom requires a fee or key, or if it provides disabled access.

Similar to how you leave ratings for completed Uber rides, you’re encouraged to rate or report a bathroom after you use one. But if you want to be a good samaritan for future unfortunate souls (and their bladders), you can also discover and add a new bathroom to the map. As of now, there are approximately 190,000 bathrooms worldwide on Flush. Why not add to that number?

Transform yourself into an explorer of a new world where public restrooms are waiting to be found. There’s no need to stay in your aimless wandering or hopeless despairing because we promise you that downloading this app will flush away (sorry, we couldn't resist) all those bathroom related worries.

But enough about other people's apps.
