At Fueled, we’re constantly evolving, shaping our services, strategy, and team to meet the needs of our clients and the broader digital landscape. In the last few months, we’ve welcomed three exceptional leaders to our executive team: Ryan Martin, Chief Financial Officer; Chris Whaley, Vice President of Client Strategy; and Peter Slutsky, also joining as Vice President of Client Strategy.

Each brings decades of experience and a proven ability to lead in complex, high-growth environments. Together, they’ll help chart Fueled’s next chapter, strengthening our ability to deliver transformative results for our clients and scale with intention.

Ryan Martin, Chief Financial Officer

Ryan Martin joins Fueled as Chief Financial Officer, bringing with him two decades of financial leadership in fast-paced, high-growth, and investor-backed environments. He has a strong track record of optimizing financial operations, supporting M&A activity, and guiding companies through strategic transformations.

Before joining Fueled, Ryan served as SVP of Finance at Tyto Athene, where he guided the company through a period of transformative growth, driving its financial strategy and leading multiple successful acquisitions. Prior to that, at Cision, a global leader in PR and media software, Ryan played a critical role in more than 15 acquisitions, as well as a public offering and two private equity exits, demonstrating a deep fluency in navigating growth across stages and capital structures.

At Fueled, Ryan will focus on advancing our operational efficiency and supporting long-term investments that drive sustainable growth. His experience managing complex financial ecosystems and building high-performing teams makes him a crucial partner as we scale our integrated digital services.

Chris Whaley, Vice President of Client Strategy

With more than 20 years of experience in digital strategy, consulting, and business development, Chris Whaley brings a client-first mindset and a deep understanding of how to drive results through technology. He has partnered with Fortune 100 brands, government agencies, and fast-moving startups to deliver complex digital transformation initiatives across sectors including finance, retail, healthcare, and the public sector.

Chris comes to Fueled after years in senior leadership roles at digital consultancies, including as Chief Revenue Officer at Concord and Managing Director at Cerberus Capital Management, where he helped lead large-scale digital modernization efforts. His work spanned everything from developing omnichannel experiences to transforming legacy systems, and was grounded in strategic thinking, data-driven insight, and a collaborative approach.

At Fueled, Chris will help clients bridge bold ideas with scalable execution, guiding organizations through change with clarity and measurable impact. His arrival reflects our continued investment in top-tier talent that can lead not just delivery, but real business transformation.

Peter Slutsky, Vice President of Client Strategy

Peter Slutsky brings a unique blend of political savvy, enterprise acumen, and public sector expertise to his role as Vice President of Client Strategy. He joins Fueled after serving in an executive role at ActBlue, where he helped scale operations during a period of rapid growth during a critical phase of the organization’s evolution.

Before ActBlue, Peter spent more than a decade at Automattic, helping to build and scale the enterprise business at WordPress VIP. As one of VIP’s early business development leaders, he played a central role in bringing flagship public sector organizations including the White House, NASA, and the Department of Veterans Affairs, onto the WordPress platform. He also helped lead the FedRAMP certification process, enabling secure adoption of open-source technology in government.

Now at Fueled, Peter will draw on his background at the intersection of advocacy, storytelling, and enterprise digital strategy to support clients navigating transformation. His longstanding collaboration with 10up (now Fueled’s WordPress practice) and deep experience in the open-source CMS space position him to bring unique insight and value to our clients—especially those evaluating or building on WordPress at scale.

Looking Ahead

Welcoming Ryan, Chris, and Peter isn’t just a milestone: it’s a reflection of our momentum. As each of them evaluated their next chapter, we were proud to stand out for our clarity of purpose, creative ambition, and track record of results.

They join an executive and leadership team with deep experience and long tenures, including Chief Delivery Officer Sarah Williams, Chief Operating Officer John Eckman, SVP of Product & Design Jessica Wagner, SVP of Technology Phil Crumm, SVP of Commercial Gabe Karp, SVP of People Ajaka Roth, and an extended team of Partners and strategy, engineering, and delivery leaders.
