Two of Thomas’s natural inclinations — connecting with people and chasing interesting problems — collide in his working style with clients. As a strategist, he’s always re-examining the questions at hand to bring fresh perspective, and he’s deeply curious about what makes people tick.
Prior to joining Fueled, Thomas co-founded Switchyard, a creative agency that built brands and products for many of his hometown Portland’s most beloved institutions. Following Switchyard’s acquisition in 2013, he moved into creative direction and strategy, leading projects and accounts for scores of national nonprofit organizations, universities, think tanks, travel clients, and enterprise technology companies.
In his free time, Thomas is probably up to something with his family—cooking, singing off-key, cracking jokes, camping, and exploring the Pacific Northwest. He’s an accidental gardener, a reformed picky eater, and an allergic beekeeper.
