Black Friday Mobile Sales

Don't forget, Americans. This time last week, you were suffering from a tryptophan hangover and thinking about -or participating- in Black Friday. Two companies came out on top in terms of mobile sales. Actually, two unlikely victors: Blockbuster and Office Depot. After weeks of speculation, mobile sales surged 43% from last year and many companies couldn't handle the additional traffic. Blockbuster, Office Depot, Rakuten, JC Penny and HSN were the top preforming mobile retailers.We wonder how much will mobile sales go up next year... via Mobile Commerce Daily

LG's Dr. Ramchan Woo declared this week that "the future will not be flat." On Tuesday, LF unveiled the 6-inch LG Flex. The new phone is curved along its horizontal axis to fit in your hand and curve toward your face. LG claims the phone will produce a viewing experience similar to watching something on a 55-inch TV. Does it flex? Apparently. The phone can be pushed flat without structural damage. via Laptop

Foursquare Push

Our favorite app maker (and neighbor) Foursquare is now delivering push notifications to all of its users across iOS and Android. The new system will launch in Foursquare version 7.0 along with some visual refinements. Now, when you arrive at new restaurant, Foursquare might suggest- based on other users tips- that you get the pork ragu. via TechCrunch

Twitter Ads

Yesterday, Twitter announced Tailored Audiences, its name for retargeted ads. The new ads will target mobile users based on where they've been on the web. This makes Twitter an especially compelling platform for advertisers because it could bring retargeting to mobile. via Twitter + TechCrunch

iOS7 Adoption

Hey, developers: according to a chart posted on Apple's App Store Support page,  iOS7 is now installed on 74% of devices. By comparison, KitKat, the latest Android OS, reports only a 1.1% adoption rate. via MacRumors
