With Motorola Xoom on the horizon and the ever expanding list of Android powered devices it's of no surprise that the Android Market is growing exponentially. If the growth continues at the same rate it is slated to pass Apple's App Store in 2012. Given that information it is surprising to discover that developers are more attracted to Apple's App Store. Where are all of Android's Apps coming from?

According to a report by Lookout, a mobile security company, within the last 6 months Apple's App Store attracted almost 24,000 developers whereas Android's Market reached a little over 4,000. The average Developer for Apple's app store submits 3.8 apps and the average for Android's Market is 6.6.
