Google Commemorates Freddie Mercury’s 65th Birthday
Freddie Mercury, the iconic lead singer of Queen, would have turned 65 on Monday. Google commemorated the day by turning the Google logo on its homepage into an artistic tribute to Freddie. When pressing the play button in the middle of the Google icon, a video came up, and it was just awesome. I’m not gonna bother explaining it any more than that. Just go on Google right now and click the play button in the middle of the icon. Do it. The rest of this column will wait for you. Go. Now.
Why are you still reading this??? Go!!
Okay, you’re back. That was awesome, right? A great tribute to whom I believe is the greatest lead singer in rock history. Now, for the hell of it, a quick list of the top 10 Queen songs of all time that aren’t Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You or We Are the Champions. Why not, right? It’s Freddie’s birthday week; he deserves it. (Side note: this started as a top 5 list, but I couldn’t cut it down. Queen’s just that good.)

Whew. That was fun. I challenge somebody to think of a better way to kill time at work without breaking the law. Happy Birthday, Freddie. You are missed.
