Internet Academy has arrived in New York!
Internet Academy, a new member of the Fueled Collective, was established as the first Japanese IT school to specialize in Internet and Web technologies in 1995, making it one of the oldest schools in the industry.
Based in Japan, Internet Academy has two schools in Tokyo and another in Bangalore, the ‘Silicon Valley of India.” Now, the team is excited to announce its New York City launch on October 21st. The initial offering will be held in the Fueled Collective before the official opening of their new location in New York.
Internet Academy is also a member of W3C, short for the "World Wide Web Consortium," which was founded in 1994 by the father of the Web, Tim Berners-Lee for the purpose of developing the international standard of Web technologies and to spread Web technology around the world. There are 383 selected global companies registered as W3C members as of September 2013. Many famous IT corporates are listed, such as Adobe, Apple, Baidu, Cisco, Facebook, Google, Intel, Microsoft, Yahoo and Twitter.
Internet Academy’s first class on October 21st will teach the basics of front-end web development including HTML5, CSS3/4, JavaScript, jQuery and Node.js. After this initial offering, Internet Academy will expand into graphic design and mobile web development courses.
The inaugural class with be taught by Yusuke Matsumura from Internet Academy Tokyo. He has been an IT instructor for 10 years and a computer programmer for 14 with experienced knowledge of computer science, computer programming (C, C++, Java), digital design (Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, InDesign), Web development (Perl, HTML, Python, Ruby, CSS, PHP, PostgreSQL, MySQL, JavaScript, VBScript), and digital marketing.
