The Curators Conference: Parting Words

Jesse

On Wednesday, September 5, New York-based video curator Portable hosted the Curators Conference at Lincoln Center — a day-long event that brought together the creatives who have mastered the art of digital publishing, social media, and everything in-between.  Through a series of intriguing conversations, the speakers looked at the way  their mediums “intersect with modern culture, to share strategies and encourage conversation and ideas.”

Fueled attended and listened on as creative leaders like Josh Rubin of Cool Hunting, Rodrigo Calvo of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Carrie Scott of SHOWStudio, Susie Bubble of Stylebubble, and Soraya Darabi formerly of the New York Times spoke on what drives their brands and individual pursuits forward.

Technology-driven, of course, attendees tweeted questions to @portable, making the conference an interactive open forum. Below, we pulled photos from photographer Scott Lowe, along with some quotes attendees shared through Twitter.
