Remember the days when Facebook was the go-to platform for making a relationship official? There was a day when a relationship wasn’t considered valid until it became “Facebook official.” It turns out Facebook wants to get back into the business of managing relationships, and they’re trying to do so with a new app: Tuned.

Tuned creates a private space for couples to share anything and everything. The app offers more creative and thoughtful communication than merely sending a text message. Through Tuned, couples can share photos, notes, cards, voice messages, moods, and even Spotify playlists. Which morning message would you most like to receive from your partner: a text saying “Good morning” with a few emojis, or a sweet voice memo along with your favorite photo of them? Probably the latter.

You might already share many of these forms of communication with your significant other but, without Tuned, you have to do it on separate apps. Maybe you share a Google Photos folder for pictures, playlists on Spotify, and voice messages on calling apps. Tuned consolidates all of those functionalities into one hub where you and your significant other can communicate in every which way.

By bringing all this rich content into one place, Tuned collects a digital scrapbook for you and your partner to look back in time. When one half is off on business travel, or it’s a particularly lonely day of shelter-in-place, they can take a peek on Tuned to relive all the beautiful moments that were shared. It's also fit for nostalgic, romantic holidays like Valentine’s Day.

The app is now available at the Apple store. So far, in its young life, it’s received mixed reviews with a ⅗ star rating.

If you’re looking to uplevel your romantic communication, give Tuned a try!

But enough about other people's apps.
