Every week at Fueled, our London-based lead designer Rob Palmer shares a handful of inspirational websites with our teams in New York and Chicago. This weekly email acts like a virtual water cooler, encouraging us to congregate across time zones and discuss what brands and blogs are doing to push new trends in webdesign.
Carlo Barberis
We love the ornate details of this site for the Italian jewelry company, Carlos Barberis. Once you get past the double slide on the mouse scroll, the site reveals many layers full of content and pictures of the handmade jewelry. It's a slick site with a lot of of animation but somehow, you're not overwhelmed. We like the great colors too. Carlo Barberis
Poolhouse
Poolhouse is a digital agency based in the great city of Richmond, Va that is "hell-bent on crafting the best ad campaigns for candidates, causes and companies." No need to do a double take, that's Mitt Romney there on the full screen video on their landing page. Poolhouse promises not to be "bulky" and, by the looks of their clean design and featured work on Vimeo, we believe them. The people behind Poolhouse are so cool, in fact, it's hard to believe they're Republicans! Poolhouse
Janne Koivistoinen
Janne enjoys her life as a Graphic Designer and her personal website celebrates her obvious passion and skill. The Helsinki based artist specializes in responsive websites and it shows. The site is thoughtfully designed and we love the big background images and minimal design features. Come visit us in New York or London, Janne! Janne Koivistoinen
desigNeat
desigNeat does it all. From delightful illustrations and print media to development work and UX design. The company is made up of two Serbian jack of all trades, Marta and Bojan. We especially like the site's creative animation and charming design touches. The mobile work is impressive. desigNeat
Create Pilates
This website for a London Pilates studio is worth a look. It's a busy site that can be a little overwhelming, but the scrolling, animation and navigation is well executed. If Wimbledon wasn't so far away, we'd consider giving Pilates another shot. Create Pilates
Midori Aoyama
This is the personal website for Japanese DJ Midori Aoyama. It is awesome. The UX is sublime and the color scheme and typography perfectly complement the style and flow of the site. Midori Aoyama Which webdesigns were you favorite? Let us know in the comments!
