Our Top Sites for Design Inspiration
Which sites inspired you the most this week? These designers and websites inspired Fueled's Rob Palmer.
Every week at Fueled, our London-based lead designer Rob Palmer shares a handful of inspirational websites with our teams in New York and Chicago. This weekly email acts like a virtual water cooler, encouraging us to congregate across time zones and discuss what brands and blogs are doing to push new trends in webdesign.
Olympic Story
Quick! Where were the 1964 Winter Olympics held? Answer: Innsbruck. Learn more about the winter games from 1924 to Sochi on this wicked little website. The interactive platform presents the history of the winter games through infographics, facts, mascots, medals and videos.
Spartans vs Hipsters
The Belgium Creative agency Epic has designed a fun multiplayer and cross device game. Users act as the "ruthless" Spartans out to kill the "cuddly" Hipsters who are threatening to "hipsterrify" mankind. The game is creative and the concept well designed.
Annemieke van der Hoek
At Fueled, we're constantly on the lookout for gifted designers and so, we're constantly looking through digital portfolios. Annemieke van der Hoek, a Dutch webdesigner and front-end developer, has a portfolio that is a breath of fresh air. Her work is outstanding and the site a pleasure to explore. We like the color scheme, interesting navigation, and responsive design.
FH Studio
FH Studio produces media for brands, big and small. While the site is simple and interactive, the real inspiration here is the incredible content. Although the site isn't that easy to navigate, you'll want to spend time here.
Mostly Serious
Someone once told us that if you're from St. Louis, you say you're from St. Louis- not Missouri. But what about Springfield, the third largest city in the state? Great things are brewing in Springfield by the looks of Mostly Serious. The company "builds beautiful online properties, from conception to construction to continual upkeep." We really admire the site's sharp images and great SEO. It's easy and clean.
