The Top 5 Apps We Love This Week
This weeks Top 5 Apps: Hatch, Keezy, Todoist, Transferwise, and Impala
Every week at Fueled, we share an internal anthology of the week’s greatest new apps. As mobile developers, we’re lucky to hear about and download innovative new apps every day that make our lives easier, entertain us, or keep our eyes and hands busy in awkward situations.
Here’s what’s on our radar.
Hatch
We're assuming that the average person killed approximately 35 Tamagotchi pets in 1997. Luckily, in early 2014 society will have a chance to redeem themselves with Hatch, the cutest virtual pet ever. Although the website is lacking, the video above highlights some pretty great animation. Why not spend your downtime on the bus or on the tube feeding, bathing and shower a virtual pet with love?
Keezy
This app turns your iPhone into a colorful, simple instrument. "It's easy with Keezy" to create fun beats with the touch screen keyboard, built in melodies, and your own voice recordings. The app lets you remix and splice recordings with a simple touch of the screen. Check out the video with Reggie Watts to see the app in action. It looks sick.
Todoist
Todoist turns your browser into the ultimate to-do list. Download the app for all your products, from your Android devices to your iPad to all of your browsers to keep yourself productive and on top of things. Its simple but effective with HTML 5 support and offline features.
TransferWise
Don't you hate when you're transferring cash to your coworker in London (for all those beers he bought you) only to discover a million pounds in hidden fees? TransferWise is an app to the rescue! Built by gents from Skype and Paypal, TransferWise is like Skype but instead of calls, you transfer money in a matter of minutes, surpassing the bank system legally.
Impala
Instead of manually labeling all of your photos on your iPhone, Impala automatically sorts them by subject. "Impala “looks” into your images and videos and recognizes what’s inside." It apparently identifies anything from your dog, Murphy to a beach or sunset. Best of all, it learns from its mistakes and gets smarter with each photo.
That's all from us this week! What new apps are you loving? Let us in the comments!
