Apple Pay will arrive Oct. 20

As promised, Apple Pay will be ready to roll out in an October iOS update. According to a report from Bank Innovation, the payments system will be ready October 20th as part of iOS 8.1. The feature will only be available to iPhone 6 and 6 Plus owners. via MacWorld

Groupon Launches Snap

This week, Groupon launched Snap. The app provides both iOS and Android users with a list of products that gives money back when purchases are made. The concept is originally from a Canadian based startup called SnapSaves that Groupon quietly acquired in June. via Tech Crunch

Twitter Fabric

Twitter is planning to unveil a new app development platform called "Twitter Fabric" in the hopes of winning back app developers. The product contains tools for developers to help people sign up for  apps, sell ads, and uncover technical glitches. This will help Twitter become a stronger competitor against Facebook, Google, and Amazon. via The Information
