The new Windows Phone 7 commercial touts that it's designed to "get you in and out and back to life". I wonder if that promise is correlated to the lack of applications available for the phone (1,000 vs 300,000 for the iPhone)

But the real question is, who exactly does Microsoft expect to begin using their new phones? It seems they're marketing the phone to current non-smartphone users. Does Microsoft think that people who've held out on getting an iPhone or Android phone were simply put off by the plethora of features and usefulness of the devices?
