Dice is a Mobile Ticketing App and website. You can discover artists, browse events, and purchase tickets directly through the app. With its rock n’ roll aesthetic and friendly user interface, it is one of the best ticketing apps we’ve used so far.

What Works Well

With its pitch black backgrounds and pops of neon color, using the app feels kind of like being at the club, which we dig. Overall, the app is clear, helpful, and engaging. The home screen offers a mix of options, from a “New Shows Thursday” screen where you can toggle through shows that have just been announced, to a list of events that are trending with your friends, to featured shows the app thinks you will like (you can sync Dice to your Spotify account). You can search the ‘Upcoming’ section to see what is playing in the coming week, which is especially useful for making last-minute plans or getting a sense of what is available in your neighborhood. Even as a first-time user, the in-app functions are easy to understand and work well, whether you’re browsing new artists or purchasing tickets.

What Could Use Improvement

The main thing we find disappointing about this otherwise excellent app is that the personalization isn’t great. Not only that, but when personalization fails the screens that appear, saying, for example “when we find a match, it’ll appear here!” are slightly intimidating and take up a lot of gray space. This stands out especially since the rest of the app is so seamless and smooth; if they’re able to fix this piece of it, the app is sure to be one of our favorites!

But enough about other people's apps.

LET'S TALK ABOUT YOURS
